There are many air source heat pumps on the market, many are just repurposed swimming pool heat pumps.
“Well that’s great, a swimming pool is way bigger than a hot tub” I hear you say.
Well yes , however it’s not that straightforward! Whilst a swimming pool is much larger, they run at lower temperatures than a hot tub and also you generally only run them in the summer months so the air temperature is much higher.
The ICESPA as you may be able to tell by its name is an all season air source heat pump. With it’s EVI (Enhanced vapour injection) technology it remains efficient right the way down to -25 Celsius!
I don’t know about you but I’m certainly not efficient at that temperature!
With all this on it’s side, it will give you savings of up to 80% compared to standard electrical element heating.

You can control the whole heat pump from the built in control panel but where’s then fun in that?
I love being able to control my heating and even cat feeder from my phone so with it’s built in wifi it makes adjusting any settings and the temperature much easier when it’s in the palm of your hand

Not only does this amazing creation heat your spa but it will also chill it down to 4 degrees celsius! Now that is COLD!!
It means your hot tub suddenly becomes this versatile complete wellness package giving you lovely 40 degree heat one day and if you decide to try out cold water therapy then you have that ability too!
If you don’t want that extreme then whatever temperature you set it to, on auto mode it will maintain it. Say if it’s a boiling hot summers day and the hot tub is too hot then it will cool it down very quickly.
